The team at Pöckl only make Mystique in exceptional years and even then in only limited quantities. It’s actually a ‘research wine’ where the team explore the possibilities in the vineyards and during the vinification. The plan is that insights gained in this wine will benefit the overall range of wines.

It's a sense of immense pride to Pöckl that Mystique has been placed in the same league as some of the finest wines in the world.

ANALYSIS

Deep dark ruby in colour, and exploding with powerful and complex aromas of fine oriental spices, liquorice, figs, leather, brushwood and smoke. The palate is exceptionally balanced, with tight-knitted, high quality, fine-grained tannins with Szechuan-pepper like spice notes. The mid palate is expressive and concentrated sweet spice and dark chocolate and leaves a super long and lifting mineral finish. A wine with huge ageing potential for decades to come.
