The Steinertal vineyard is an extremely complex site that offers ideal terrain for both Grüner Veltliner and Riesling.
The aspect is turned towards the south-west. This brings sun and heat, even in the evenings, that is moderated by cool air currents from the north.
Soil thickness varies considerably, as does temperature within each layer. Alzinger’s Riesling is rooted in the highest and most barren plots of the site, giving a true reflection of the natural conditions, whilst maintaining vital acidity and profound minerality in the wines.

CRITIC RATINGS
98-100 FalstaffThis sumptuously elegant Riesling reveals delicate, salty and subtle but well-defined fruity aromas on the nose of green and stone fruit and zingy lemon acidity. The palate follows with a deep, concentrated body and long-lasting, refreshing minerality and acidic structure, with long stone fruit and lemon citrus throughout.
Pairs well with spicy Asian dishes, particularly Thai food
