Riesling Dürnstein Federspiel

The iconic Danube River is the main influence on the plains of Loiben and Dürnstein, bringing reflected heat and moderating conditions in both summer heat and winter cold. This helps to extend the growing season and ensure full ripeness of the grapes.

The Riesling is planted in gravel, sand and sedimentary soils, providing juicy and elegant wines as an example of a classic Federspiel.

The pure and fresh aromas on the nose reveal herbal notes, citrus and fresh stone fruit. On the palate, there is substantial texture from salty minerality, with a refreshing and inviting acidic structure. The wine is good for drinking early, yet clearly has the potential to age for up to a decade longer.
