Classification: 1ÖTW (Premier Cru)
The Pellingen vineyard is home to 35-45 year old vines, with roots that penetrate deep towards the bedrock of mica schist. This steep terrace, across 250-315m above sea level, is located in Senftenberg and is classified as an Ertse Lage under the ÖTW system.
The wine is aged in both stainless steel and wooden casks, and is suitable for many years of bottle ageing to come.

CRITIC RATINGS
94 FalstaffExotic fruits dominate the pronounced nose, with aromas of kiwi, banana and green apple, apricots and ripe peaches, with a lifting note of herbal spice. On the palate, the concentration of fruit balances perfectly with the fine lees texture, and the restrained acidity keeps every sip as refreshing as the last. It leaves a long fruity finish with a spicy white pepper aftertaste.
Pairs with a range of poultry or game meat dishes, as well as mild cheese
